    Absolutely. It's almost better than the show after a few episodes.

    Yes. Cheers was my first thought. Followed by Six Feet Under. But True Blood is fantastic, too. I never fast forward through that grainy montage.

    Agree with IJAG about Cheers.

    I'd add The Brady Bunch and My Three Sons as being so iconic that even people who didn't grow up with them know them off the top of their heads.

    I've never heard the theme to My Three Sons. :)

    Or if I did, I didn't know that was what it was.

    Thing ran from the 60s to the 70s and then was syndicated for a long time and was one of the shows that helped make NICKELODEON and TV Land.

    When I was 5 or 6 years old, this used to scare the shit out of me. I would get up and change the channel just to make sure I still could.

    BTW, good calls on F Troop -- "The end of the Civil War was near when quite accidentally ..." -- and Hill Street.
