    3. "Darkness on the Edge of Town"
    4. "Atlantic City"
    5. "Kitty's Back"
    6. "No Surrender"
    7. "Racing in the Street"
    8. "4th of July, Asbury Park (Sandy)"
    9. "Meeting Across the River"
    10. "The Ghost of Tom Joad"
    11. "Mansion on the Hill"
    12. "Streets of Fire"
    13. "Thunder Road"
    14. "Wrecking Ball"
    15. "New York City Serenade"

    17. "Rosalita (Come Out Tonight)"
    18. "The Wrestler"

    20. "Badlands"

These rankings are wildly subject to change, though I feel pretty comfortable with the top four being locked in.

I am a proud son of NJ, but I've got no use for Springsteen.

My favorite song to sing is "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" by Poison.

My favorite song that best describes my life is "Against the Wind," by Bob Seger.

So much depends on the mood. But "Faithfully" and "Send Her My Love" by Journey have long been my Nos. 1 and 2 all-time favorites.

To pick one song is impossible. In 53 years of life, there have probably been a couple favorites for each year.

But songs that I recall really having a strong hold on me include:
"Alone Again (Naturally)" by Gilbert O'Sullivan
"Carry Me, Carrie by Dr. Hook
    "Daniel" by Elton John
    "Steppin' Out" by Joe Jackson
    "Reminiscing" by Little River Band
"Ventura Highway, "Sister Golden Hair" and "Right Before Your Eyes" by America
"You Bring Me Joy" by Anita Baker
"Most of All" by B.J. Thomas
"How Can You Mend a Broken Heart" and "How Deep is Your Love?" by the Bee Gees
"A Better Place to Be" by Harry Chapin
"The Boxer" by Simon & Garfunkel
    "'39" by Queen

And none of those songs are even from the last 25 years. I could keep listing songs from the last 25 years, too. I could list about six songs just from Sister Hazel over the past 10 years, but only Hazelnuts would know them.

Anita Baker might be the most underrated female voice ever.

Other than Rosalita being way too low, that's a damn fine list...

Springsteen probably has 400 songs. That's the top 5 percent.
