Hitchcock's Psycho and Vertigo, Gone with the Wind, 12 Angry Men, Wonderful Life, Shane, and Zhivago

  2. If you dislike Bogart, you might enjoy "Treasure of the Sierra Madre." Bogey is a bad guy.
"Sunset Boulevard" is a great movie.

Both of these have tremendous lines that are oft-quoted.

    "The Hustler" is also outstanding.

Of the ones mentioned, Casablanca, Le Grande Illusion, The Great Dictator, Duck Soup, The Hustler, Bonnie and Clyde, Inherit the Wind and Vertigo are among my favorites.

Got to give a shoutout to St. Valentine's Day Massacre, which I've watched about 3,154 times. Von Ryan's Express always makes for an enjoyable flick.

The Great Escape hasn't been mentioned. That's in my top 10 all-time.

Com'on, we're on the second page of this thread and no Cagney?
Yankee Doodle Dandy is Alice's favorite movie.
White Heat is one of the five best gangster movies ever. "Top of the world, Ma!!"

Weird black and white flick, but I love "The Bad Seed." Rhoda is freaking riveting.

Absolutely love The Thin Man series, especially the earlier ones. Myrna Loy was my dream girl.
