Oooh. Marty. There we go. Have never seen it, but always hear about it 'round Oscar time. Next on my list. Good call on Flight of the Phoenix, too, though I've seen it many times. Quaid, Ribisi et al need to be shot for what they did to it in the recent remake.

Any fans of Breakfast at Tiffanys? Another I've never seen, not sure if I should.

Anything by Hitchcock - Vertigo, Psycho, Rear Window, The Man Who Knew Too Much, Strangers on a Train, The Birds, The Wrong Man, etc. My grandparents are huge fans and I was exposed at a young age to many of his tremendous films.

    Splendor in the Grass

    Bonnie and Clyde

A couple of relatively obscure ones:

This Property is Condemned (Natalie Wood, Bronson, Redford)

    Last Summer (Barbara Hershey)

For some reason I've always liked The Poseidon Adventure, but it is slightly post 1970.

12 Angry Men may be my all-time favorite movie and you've already mentioned it.

So I'll just add The Magnificent Seven. If for no other reason then I dig the theme music.

    Yeah, like it, too.

Boxcar Bertha, Zabriskie Point, Omega Man.

As far as courtroom dramas Judgment at Nuremberg and Inherit the Wind are musts.

If you liked the cinematography of Lawrence of Arabia, check out Grand Prix - an awesome auto racing movie.

    Spaghetti Western genre musts...
Sergio Leone's Man with No Name Trilogy
    Django
    The Great Silence

I'll second the nods to The Apartment and Splendor in the Grass.
