Old thread so can't remember if I posted this here. The entire movie is A+ but this scene ...

Lot of really good scenes in that movie.

That was good, but I liked the opening scene with Christoph Waltz drinking milk much better. That was great.

Waltz stole the movie. First scene sucked me in deep.

Old thread, but I'm watching "Casablanca" again and, no matter what I'm doing while it's on, I will stop everything to watch the "La Marseillaise" scene.

Zoom shot of Brody's realization is great:

Too lazy to go through all 20 pages right now, but will name a few from comedies that smart money says have already been mentioned:

    * The farting scene in "Blazing Saddles"
    * The "French Mistake" from "Blazing Saddles"
    * Abby Normal in Young Frankenstein
    * The bathroom scene in Mr. Mom where Michael Keaton is holding the baby up to the hand dryer while the other kid has the bathroom completely covered in toilet paper

The freeze-frame final scene in Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid.

The soliloquy that opens Patton ("We're gonna hold him by the nose and we're gonna kick him in the ass!")..

    The shower scene in Psycho.

    The Castle Anthrax.

The final chase scene in Dirty Harry ("You have to ask yourself, 'do I feel lucky today?' Well, do ya, punk?").

Hitting the beach in Apocalypse Now ("Charley don't surf!").

So, I go back through this entire thread and didn't see a mention of the classic scenes from Cool Hand Luke, The Hustler and, one of my personal favorites The Cincinnati Kid -- "You're good kid, but as long as I'm around you're second best. You might as well learn to live with it." Edward G. Robinson to Steve McQueen; followed by McQueen pitching dimes with the shoe-shine kid. "You tried too hard; you just ain't ready for me yet."

Three scenes that always make me laugh:

Space Balls: when John Candy gives his full name as Barfalamew.

Royal Tammebaums: when the kid sees the battered car and proclaims "that car has a dent in it."

Jaws 2: when the shark roars.

"I recollect a young man putting the same question to Eddie the Dude. "Son," Eddie told him, "all you paid was the looking price. Lessons are extra."
