    Not "Gangs of New York"?

Really, the best holiday-themed movie in perhaps 20 years.

Loaded with stars and with plot lines and treatment.

Plus, an incredible usage of God Only Knows at the end.

    I loved that film.

"I got news for you lady. He ain't dead, he's hiding."

    Great, great movie.

My favorite part of Christmas Vacation is this one:

    "College?"

    "Carnival!"

    "You must be proud."

Hey, it was set during the holidays.

    ...

I've seen this movie too much.

The wife dragged me to that one Saturday (it was her turn) and it was better than I expected. Definitely chick-flickish, but it was funny and had enough likeable characters to make it a nice way to spend a couple of hours.

I just bought Scrooged for myself today. It was 10 bucks at the mall. I'm giddy. Love Bill Murray movies.

It's been a very productive Christmas for me this year. Yesterday I bought a book "Byline: Ernest Hemingway" which is a collection of all his journalism work. Can't wait to start reading that one.
