There's probably a thread somewhere out here in the vast wastelands of SportsJournalists.com, but I was too lazy to look past 3 pages of posts. I'm in the mood for some good movies to put me in the holiday spirit. And, I know I'm opening myself up to tons of mocking and incredulous remarks, but I've never seen "It's A Wonderful Life" or "A Christmas Story." Yeah, sue me. So, after I start with those two, what would you recommend?

    Love Actually.

And no, I'm not kidding. I showed it to two guys I was friends with last year, and they both liked it. It's chick-flicky, but it does have Keira Knightley.

Seems to be an annual tradition the past few years, and it's not a movie. The name of the program is New York Giants football. Wanna cheer up for the holidays, especially those in Dallas, Philly and DC? Just tune in come Thanksgiving, and watch your team's playoff chances increase.

    Bad Santa.

    Lethal Weapon.

    Batman Returns.

And yeah, It's a Wonderful Life and Christmas Story are quite charming.

For audio, may I suggest Mr. Hankey's Christmas Classics or Andrew Dice Clay's the Day the Laughter Died?

A Christmas Carol, but it has to be the Alistair Sim version.
