    Jerry Garcia ... just about anything, but his solos on "Eyes of the World" do it for me every time.

    Sirs, Madames,

    No. 2s: I'm not sure who's rhythm and who's lead but Verlaine and Lloyd in Television's Torn Curtain and Elevation. Marquee Moon's an amazing guitar album.

    No. 1: Clapton, Badge. It's just a couple of bars but it still gives me goosebumps after all these years. Beats Layla and I love Layla.

  9. Solos suck, unless they are by Slash, Mike McCready or Mark Knopfler.

    Solo: Texas Flood by SRV or his instrumental version of Little Wing.

    Geddy Lee has a sick little bass riff in there, too, although it's not really long enough to call it a solo
