Favorite Childhood toy?

    A favorite of mine, too.

    A couple of years ago, my daughter and I went with my wife to visit a friend of hers. The friend's 5-year-old boy was playing with classic Star Wars toys like these. Turns out the father had saved all of his stuff and now his kid was playing with it.

    So there I was, showing the kid how parts on some of the toys worked from memory. As if there was ever any doubt about my geekitude.

    Can't believe I'm the first to post this, but here goes:
    I should note that the one we had wasn't this fancy. Two-dimensional. Flyers/Islanders. Metal boards. The shit.

    Now, buying the Millennium Falcon playset is as much as a video game. And much more vulnerable to breaking while also being less interesting for the youngster to brag about to their friends.
