  1. Thumbs up on Gowdy in his prime, before "Darrell Valentine."

Dan Kelly. None better in hockey.

Chris Cuthbert. "CROSBY ... THE GOLDEN GOAL!"

Collinsworth has turned into a superb color guy.

    Lundquist.

    Worst ever: Craig Ehlo. Ugh.

Bob Uecker is great (if you don't care what's happening on the field).

As far as all time, Jack Buck and Dan Kelly are my gold standards.

Nowadays, I like Herbstreit as a booth analyst. I like Lundquist on CBS college football. Nobody in baseball really sticks out anymore, way too much of a generic thing going.

Herbstreit and Brent Musberger can blow me. Keith Jackson IS College Football!

Local: Bill King, did the Raiders, Warriors and A's.
    National
Pro Football: Michaels and Collinsworth. Collinsworth has the ability to be critical without coming off as an a-hole.
College football: Keith Jackson. Though ESPN employs several good ones in Nessler, Franklin and Musberger.
    Pro basketball: Marv Albert
College basketball: Verne Lundquist. The guy can do anything.
    Baseball: Scully

The clip of Mike Milbury going after the fan with his shoe in the NHL thread reminds me how much I liked Fred Cusick and Johnny Pearson on the Bruins' WSBK telecasts in the 70s.

Pat Summerall and John Madden take me back to my childhood watching the Giants on Sundays. Al Michaels, Frank Gifford and Dan Dierdorf, too.

Mentioned before but I'll back it up: I grew up in SoCal was blessed to hear all-time greats on games.

Vin. Chick. Bob Miller. Enberg (did Angels and UCLA basketball).

All-time favorites nationally: Enberg on football and tennis. Summerall on golf (and 1A on football). Marv on basketball. Michaels on anything.
