I loved the Choose Your Own Adventure series when I was a kid.

I loved the Curious George books as a kid.

Other than that, the one I remember most was called, "Way To Go, Pete". It was about a baseball player. Don't know much else about it.

I was about to say yeah, but the title didn't sound familiar. (Even though it could have been -- I remember reading those books before I actually attended school, so the memory is foggy at best.) So, off to Amazon I go. Turns out the books I was referring to were of the "I Can Read" series by Lobel -- "Frog and Toad are Friends" and "Days with Frog and Toad" et al.

As soon as I saw the cover, I knew that was it, not "Willows". And, BTW, notice that both Frog and Toad are rocking that sportsjacket-no-shirt look, a la Chippendale dancers. My childhood memories are now shattered.

    Oh, hell yeah.

Throw in all the Hardy Boys books, too. I read at least 90 of those (inc. most of the "new" series).

    My daughter's favorite:

She's only nine-months-old (10 in 13 days) but she loves the fact I make all the sound effects throughout the book. She goes insane whenever I pull out the book.

Both of those here, too. But I think I began to lose interest in the "new" series, though I can't really recall why. I guess I had grown out of them.
