    Here's a wild story ...

The father of Reuben Foster, AKA the kid with the Auburn tattoo who signed with Alabama, was arrested today in Florida after 16 years on the run. His crime? Shooting his wife and 18-month-old son (Reuben) in 1996:

You know, I wouldn't push it past any local or state authority (or coaching staff) to use legal problems to their advantage. Maybe it's a minor pot bust from a sheriff, maybe a sibling or parent is up for parole and it could go either way...it's not that big of a leap from what we've seen in the last couple of years.

Especially when you think of that story SI did a few years back detailing some of the crimes scholarship athletes have been charged with.

Frankly, considering the two schools involved, I'd be shocked if that wasn't a factor in the father's apprehension.

Some serious tinfoil hat stuff in this thread.
