    Surprised it's not Saturday, actually. Wonder if it means Denver will have no paper at all this Saturday, or indeed Saturdays in general.

    Maybe someone smarter than me can explain ... but why would Scripps give a shit whether a potential buyer had a viable plan for the paper? One the buyer buys it, it's his fucking problem.

    Whoever wrote the story must have done it like papers that have obituaries in the can, since MileHigh got called in at 11:55 and this entire story was posted by 12:01. Thoughts with everyone.

    Now that one really big, major paper has folded, whose next? Since it's such a copycat industry, this will give some other company the feeling that's it's fine to shut down.
