    You would be correct sir....
Rush said that this could help football in Alabama. He's right. It shows what not to do.

Rush did find time for this today...

Propst attends prayer meeting for Hoover community
Posted by Birmingham News staff October 22, 2007 11:11 AM

Hoover High football coach Rush Propst this morning stood quietly on the outskirts of a pavilion at Veterans Park while a Hoover parent read to a group from Scripture and encouraged prayer for a community that has "uncommonly been bombarded with negativity."

Afterward, a dozen or so people -- including school board President Donna Frazier and Hoover High School Assistant Principal Kathey Long -- stood to join hands in prayer as the sun rose.

Organizer Pamela Blackmore-Jenkins, who has two sons on Propst's team, asked God to send angels to build a barrier around the community and to remove any evil from the school system.

Hoover High's football program and coach have been under scrutiny recently. An investigative probe found inappropriate academic treatment for some football players and recommended tighter administrative controls over athletics and athletic finances.

Blackmore-Jenkins said she didn't organize the meeting because of a single person or issue but to combat negativity through spiritual enrichment.

Propst stood back and never joined the group but said afterward that he prayed, too.

"I've been praying, not just this morning," he said. "I've been praying every day for a long time."

Propst, who talked with Frazier for at least 15 minutes after the meeting, said he told her he was very apologetic for the negative publicity that's been brought to the city of Hoover. He said Monday that "a lot of it's my fault, and I'm just so sorry for it." They did not discuss his job future, Propst said.

I like the woman who came up with the idea of doing this, to have something positive be portrayed... instead of, you know, the truth.

With two families, does "Two A Days" stand for the number of women Propst did each day? Wonder if he ever thought his life would wind up like this when he left little Ashville High? Stick a fork in him, he's done!

Not having a douchebag for a coach would do wonders for lessening the negativity.

Amazing what the spotlight of the media can lead to. Skeletons in the closet.

    But we're the bad guys.

    Exactly...
    1. Grade-changing.
    2. Unreported income.
    3. "Second" family.
    4. Carrying on with a female vice-principal.
    5. Other assorted favoritism for athletes

    = Media's fault.

And we're going to have a prayer meeting. Yeah, pray that God doesn't give enough of a shit about Alabama high-school football to notice this crap.
