What next, giving Al-Quaida (sp, I don't care) nuclear weapons? There's got to be a better way.

As for the ATF trying to shirk blame on the DOJ, nice try, attorney's don't call the plays, they just pick up the garbage afterwards.

ATF's functions should be folded into the FBI.

It used to be a part of the Treasury Department. After 9/11, it was shifted to Justice, with it's former tax collecting responsibilities remaining at Treasury.

There's no good reason to have a separate agency focused on alcohol, tobacco, firearms, and explosives.

Higher than Holder no doubt. Who's his superior? He should lose his job immediately.

I for one am very very very concerned.

    Harrumph, harrumph, harrumph.

Obama claims executive privilege over documents sought by Congress.

Contempt of Congress vote may be held today for Holder.

    Amen.

On the scale of selling weapons to Iran and then giving the money to terrorists, this doesn't rank.

You're right, giving drug dealers guns so they can murder ATF agents in cold blood is no big deal. I'm sure the dead agents' families feel that way...

You do know that it was civil servants with no connection to the administration that drummed up the scheme.

So this entire operation was done without knowledge of our government?

Then why the stonewalling? What's Holder trying to hide?

True. So, why not hand over the documents?

The documents the administration are claiming Executive Privilege over are "post February 4th, 2011 documents."

Like many other scandals in Washington, it looks like a case where the "cover up" is worse than the crime.

That's the real question. If not a big deal why all the gyrations?
