So I went to a nice suburban wedding today. And I noticed a fashion trend. Several young women who were friends of the bride and groom were wearing superprep summer dresses from Ann Taylor, et. al., and were also noticably tatted and wearing nose studs, which you know were just because the bride asked them to tone it done for the ceremony.
I grew up prep. I don't care if young women want tattoos. But merging the two was kind of disconcerting.

Take it all the way and own it - the merge of the two is very disorienting.
We have a candidate for lieutenant gov. in RI who looks like Jerry Garcia...and wears expensive suits. Has run for a number of state offices, is probably smarter than the people he runs against, but hasn't won beyond his local school board. My former boss once said he's a haircut away from being elected governor.
He either should get a haircut or take the hippie thing all the way.
