Farewell Vince Young

Young needs to go play for a coach who he will listen to and respect.

Maybe Frazier in Minnesota.
Maybe Hue Jackson (assuming he gets the job) in Oakland.

I don't think Young has the heart to succeed in the NFL.

 

I think if he totally sucked and lost a ton of games, he'd be a legit bust. But he won a ton of games. Not a bust. Close, though.

 

He can be a bust in Tennessee without being a complete bust. I think within the next year or two he'll be a complete bust.

CBS' Charley Casserly expects the Tennessee Titans to release quarterback Vince Young by late February, and having "surveyed all the NFL teams needing a starting quarterback, none were interested in Young."

 

I'm shocked! AND his teammates don't like him? AND he has a sucky record against teams .500 or better?

But he's VINCE YOUNG!

 

They must all be racist.

 

Or don't want to entrust the most important position on the team from a leadership and performance standard to someone who clearly can't lead and can't be depended on week in and week out to perform.

 

Does anyone know for sure that Vince Young wants his career to continue? Ryan Leaf and JaMarcus Russell were happy to sit home and count their money, and Matt Leinart seems to be retaining his player status chiefly to get free admission to nightclubs.
