Farewell Urban?

    I am not usre what the NFL can do about the Lions. The Fords, while inept, have generally supported the team. I have never felt the problem in Detroit has been lack of money or excessive ownership interference. I do think that historically the Ford's have shown a reluctance to fire GM's and coaches that has hurt the franchise.

    Was referring to the Redskins, actually. The Lions are the Lions. The Redskins used to be pretty good.

    William Clay Ford bought controlling interest in the Lions on Nov. 22, 1963, according to Wikipedia. That's a dark day in history for a different reason.
