Fantasy Football Stats/Excel Spreadsheet Query

Discussion in 'Anything goes' started by Theoldbenchwarmer, Sep 13, 2008.

  1. This is a strange request, but I was hoping someone with more brain power than I could help me with a fantasy football/Statistic/Excel Spreadsheet problem.

Can anyone come up with a formula that would help me put "points allowed" in a cell in an Excel spreadsheet?

    For example, in my league:
    0 Points Allowed = 15 points
    1-6 Points Allowed = 10 points
    7-13 Points Allowed = 6 points
    14-20 Points Allowed = 0 points
    21-27 Points Allowed = -6 points
    28-34 Points Allowed = -10 points
    35+ Points Allowed = -15 points

I'm trying to figure out how I can translate this into a formula that will fit in a cell. So far, I haven't had any luck.

Ideally, the way it would work is that if a team gives up 7 points, and I put 7 in the cell, it would add 6 to my "total fantasy points" cell.

If this makes no sense, I apologize in advance. Any help would be very much appreciated.
