The people getting paid for this stuff are finally off the RB bandwagon. Nice that you caught up guys (and porn stars).

As a result, WR is the new obsession. Probably not a bad idea given the way today's game is played. However, unlike RB, there is no shortage of productive WRs. That puts multiple strategies in play. Should be interesting.

    Let the mocks begin!

Talking with a couple buddies at work, they said Gurley and Elliott should be the only RBs among the top 8, maybe 10 picks. I think I would still take AP as the first RB.

No way do I touch Elliott with a first-round pick.

Was thinking the same, especially since DMF showed he still is a productive RB. Can see the same thing happening this year. Elliott has a few good games, then gets banged up, has a couple bad games, and DMF steps up again. I think Gurley and AP are 1st rounders though.

Elliott may turn out to be a stud behind that line, but I have a hard time using a top pick on a guy before he takes his first professional snap.

David Johnson will be drafted in most first rounds.

L Bell Gurley Johnson AP. Although it's not like it used to be, with maybe 8 RBs in the 1st round.

I bet AP drops to the second in most drafts.

And as @Big Circus knows, I won't be drafting him anywhere. :)

That was our discussion, two buddies at work said 2nd round. If I pick 12th in my one league and he is there I definitely take him, Ten-team league, not sure.

He just went No. 1 in the mock I'm doing.

It's easy to avoid a RB in the first round. Everybody likes to make a splash with their first pick, go in a different direction from the crowd, whatever.
But when that second pick comes around, and you're sitting there at something like 19th and 28th and eight RBs are already off the board, and you're looking at winding up with Jonathan Stewart or the festering corpse of Darren Sproles as your top guy if you don't hold your nose and take Lamar Miller now, it's real easy to fall into the black hole.

Because most people follow the rankings, there will be some good RBs available after the first 30 picks. I think a guy like Forte will be a steal where he's ranked, and I like the value of guys like Hill and Anderson whom I expect to bounce back.
