Forty years of Vikings devotion and fandom - shattered. Devastated. My purple blood has been let, painfully draining into an ever-expanding puddle reminiscent of a murder scene.

I'm willing to entertain reasons I should cheer for other NFL teams. Only ones I refuse to consider are Dallas or Philadelphia.

Or I may just say the heck with it - the Gophers have a nice, new outdoor stadium.
