I understand there is no premeditation, but really, I wish this could be a first-degree charge.

And 10 to 40 years in prison for killing five people is awful light, especially for someone who doesn't have the goods on anyone else.

The laws from state to state are still widely varied when a drunk driver kills someone. In Texas, intoxication manslaughter will get you up to 20 years. I think in Minnesota it's still only 4 years max.

Update: Stories with photos... fucker should have them attached to his cell walls so he sees what he's done every fucking day he's in the joint.

Fenian, that's what happens after you taste some serious pain. When someone comes along who's much more deserving...

With a wall-size picture of the family in his cell. Forever.

    Death penalty.

At some point, wanton reckless disregard for the safety of innocent victims is in itself a form of premeditation.

    Death.

Fucker was on suicide watch early in the day. Part of me says let him do it; other says suffer -- let you see them in your sleep every goddamn day of your life...

With a BA of .254, if the Lucas County DA hasn't done so already, he/she needs to put that bar out of business. This week.

    RICO, anyone?

OK, so I'm not the only one who wondered what racketeering had to do with anything.
