Did they just do a musical about Terry Shiavo?

Holy crap, Stewie's a giant plug

Did I really just see a dolphin licking Peter's nipple?

It would have been a little edgier if they had done it five years ago.

I wasn't offended by it, but I didn't think it was funny.

Simpsons won the Simpsons/Family Guy Derby, last night.

Yes it did. That episode was great.

Lesson I just learned: If you think things are random when you watch a Family Guy episode, try reading a thread about a Family Guy episode before actually seeing the episode itself.

The South Park Tiger Woods piece beat 'em both, but the SPTW item was a remarkable, nuanced piece of work.

I've probably watched 20 Simpsons episodes in the last three seasons and none of them measure up to the show's first decade. Not terrible, but nothing even remotely special.

Family Guy is very inconsistent. Some are tremendous and some are awful.

Pretty sure nobody's going to give you an argument about Simp's opening decade being the Golden Era. True, by acclimation.

But once in a while, they reach back and wing another goodie.

I'm sure I've missed some good ones, but there's no question the show is coasting on its reputation. Harry Shearer was quoted as saying "There hasn't been a decent script in four years."
