Family Guy, 10/19: Are they REALLY going through with this episode?

His reaction - very understated "Hmm. That's odd." -- was part of why it was so funny. It was waaaay over the line, but funny.

 

Outstanding episode.

The "Road to..." episodes are among the best of the series. Brian and Stewie have excellent chemistry.

This was still great, but probably the weakest of the four.

 

I liked when Mort interrupted the song.

 

Uneven? Yes . . . a Family Guy hallmark.

But the peaks? Hysterical.

 

With so many cutscenes and one-liners, they are setting themselves up for failure.

But the cast and writers deliver a majority of the time and about once or twice per episode hit it out of the park. Which is about all you can ask for.

 

Loved how they used Johnny Brennan, from the Jerky Boys as the voice for Mort. Then again, I hardly ever watch this show, so this may not be a new development.

 

Which reaffirms your earlier "still full of fail" self-characterization.

 

Did Lou Holtz make a cameo on this episode?

 

I've seen the light, and I'll be a faithful viewer from now on. So the guy from Jerky Boys is a regular voice on the show?

 

Yes, although Mort is a semi-regular character at best.

I figure their portrayers must get along well in real life in order to have that kind of rapport.

But do you think the guys who do Peter's and Quagmire's voices really get along? So hard to say, isn't it?...... ;D
