Falsely accused of blowing deadline

    Yeah, well, seems to me you are going to deal with douchenozzles now and again in this business so it pays to know which end is up and all.

    I would have waited to receive pay for the stories until calling him out on the deadline misunderstanding, in case he is an a-hole.

    Yes, with further proof that he's an ass.

    " From your note, I had thought the story would be ready for me
    Thursday morning. But I had made clear over the phone that I needed it
    Wednesday. Though I'm disappointed that it was not completed, I don't
    find it particularly worth while to go over every point. If there was
    some miscommunication, we must ensure that it does not happen again."

    I'm fine with the last line, but he certainly did not make it clear over the phone that he needed it on Wednesday, or HE WOULD HAVE HAD IT ON WEDNESDAY! And I think it's pretty damn obvious that's the case, which is why he doesn't want to "go over every point."

    The hell with him. If he ever does offer me another assignment, I'm saying no.
