    I would like to point out that's possible to have experienced religious bigotry by fundamentalists against those who are either liberal or agnostic. There's definitely been cases of that, both by coworkers and readers. It goes both ways folks.

    I've also never agreed principally with asking the Jewish guy to work Christmas and assuming he will do so cheerfully just because he's Jewish, which I saw a few years ago. Maybe that dude wants the fucking day off for other reasons.

    Heck, LJB, I knew a Jewish family in Oklahoma who celebrated Christmas, not the Jesus Christ version, just the Santa Claus version, mainly so the kids wouldn't feel left out.

    And, as alley pointed it out, it goes both ways. I had a conservative fundamentalist once tell me I couldn't be a real Christian because of my liberal political views. When I started pointing out Scripture that supported my views, he backed down.
