I just rebooted my laptop, and all my Firefox bookmarks are gone. Cleaned out.

    History? Gone.

I had a whole cache of bookmarks that I used for work. Gone.

    Am I SOL? Computer geeks?

Have you tried Windows System Restore or something like that?

Nope. I doubt that'll take care of Firefox settings, just system settings.

Strange problem. Usually everyone here (including me) has nothing but good things to say about Firefox.

I had the same problem on my old laptop when a new version of Firefox came out. Happened every time.

    Interesting, John.

I adore Firefox, which is why I'm perplexed. I did nothing to change the configuration. My laptop froze up right before, causing me to reboot manually.

Weird thing is, Firefox still has all my passwords (SportsJournalists.com, myspace, e-mail) saved.

I restored the bookmarks. Apparently this ain't a unique deal.

    C'est la vie.

Try this FEBE extension that backs up your Firefox settings. I used to have problems losing my bookmarks but haven't since I added this extension.</a>
