Hmm. I wonder what the altitude was.

I would assume the F16 pilot was returning to Charleston from a nearby MOA (Military Operations Area). The crash happened 11 miles outside Charleston AFB, which would put it right outside the AFB's Class C airspace.

Is it just me, or does playing freeze tag on I-95 seem safer than riding in one of these little private planes?

I imagine that looked something like a knife slicing through warm butter.

for some reason the line from Ball Four about two ships smashing into each other in Vietnam comes to mind, "what were they doing? Playing chicken?" Or something like that

thats a cheap anti-aircraft weapon. Smells like a preemptive strike from the anti Jade Helm 15 coalition
