In the package CBS sent down for us, it said it shook some of the high rise hotels in the area. That doesn't sound like a small explosion to me.

Most likely some radicals from Berkeley or some aging members of SDS who were trying to regain their youth.

That area is littered with security cameras. One hopes that they got a good look at the guy.

This is sounding more and more like our late-night consulate mini-bomber.

    http://cityroom.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/03/06/police-investigate-explosion-in-times-square/index.html?hp

The authorities are looking into a possible connection to two earlier bombings at foreign consulates in Manhattan, in 2005 and 2007. Officials said that in today’s attack, a man in a gray hooded sweatshirt was seen leaving the scene on a bicycle.

    New York! Fun City!

Maybe he thought it was David Tyree's apartment.
