Excellent job, cigarette makers!

You've done it again. You've somehow been able to wield your marketing magic over a whole new generation of 20-somethings.

I cannot believe how many in the 20-35 age group smoke those disgusting sticks of tobacco and nicotine. We were recently on a cruise - it was incredible how many people smoked.

The tobacco giants were able to bludgeon all of the anti-smoking rhetoric these people heard when they were young.

As the older cancer victims die out, another generation is following.

    Well done, cigarette makers.

What do you have against capitalism, dexter?

It's a free country. People have the right to kill themselves while enriching tobacco companies.

I have nothing against capitalism. It's a hat tip for a job well done for the marketing magic performed by the cigarette makers.

And further evidence, in my opinion, that Americans are the dumbest fucking people on the face of this earth.

Well only because of nasty government interference with their pesky rules and regulations.

Actually, most of the world is dumber than America:

I'm racking my brain trying to come up with some marketing idea that might make me consider ever putting one of those things in my mouth.

I have come up with nothing.

The smoking is just one data point of many, IMO.

Might smokers be more likely nowadays to take cruises? Maybe outside and on the water is one of the few places left to fire 'em up without catching all kinds of grief. Well, there and Las Vegas.

(don't get me wrong, I don't smoke, it's gross, etc.)
