Exaggerating fouls in basketball (flopping)

More and more basketball players are exaggerating a reaction to contact to draw a foul. Should this

  1. I'm fine with the way the game is currently officiated.

  2. I don't like it, but it would be impossible to correct.

  3. Do not call anything if you question the reaction. The flopping player has usually placed themself a

  4. Call a technical on the exaggerating player.

  5. Call a foul on the exaggerating player.

  6. Assess fines after the game via videotape.

    Send them to college, where they will learn to play the right way

    If the refs would simply swallow their whistles, flopping would go away.

    Considering the worst offenders are a college team, I will chalk that up to lack of knowledge.

    Actually, you need one more option devil:

    It's been happening since Naismith hung up the first peach basket. Nothing can be done about it now.

    (Doc Naismith used to accuse me of flopping al the time ... it was not true)

    No, there should not be a penalty for flopping. There is no advantage gained by falling down. If it's a flop, simply don't call the foul.
