Can you imagine what the writers in tinsel town are doing with this story?

When it ends up on the screen it will look like Escape to Witch Mountain.

I figured they'd already written it. Wasn't this the plot of at least two "Lethal Weapon" movies, one "Under Siege," the first "Speed" and at least a half-dozen lesser knockoffs?

Reading through his manefesto it sounds like the guy spends a lot of time watching MSNBC. That's enough to drive anyone crazy

But, no evidence he was inspired by Al Gore, like the guy who shot up the Discovery Channel's headquarters.

Because there haven't been enough variants on this story in the last 40 years.

In Big Bear, a snowstorm; in LA, a shitstorm.

--Searchers say the trail has gone completely cold, partially because of the snow that came in. There was a gap of at least five hours before the burning truck was identified as Dorner's, so he had a 300-mile escape radius then that is infinite now. I think the only hope for them now is that he killed himself and they'll find his body when the snow melts.

--LAPD is reopening an investigation into the claims that led to his firing in 2009. This is in response to huge public outcry and calls from all the mayoral candidates to clear things up. Ghosts of the past, etc.

--That early police shooting of the newspaper carriers looks harder to believe because the truck doesn't look anything like what they were supposed to be looking for. And there was another incident where police slammed their cruiser into another car and opened fire.

And there's a $1 million reward for his capture, too. So, you know, call 911 if you see him.
