I acknowledged Culpepper was a good, albeit turnover-prone, quarterback when healthy. Not sure what else you want me to say, because I won't compare him to Hall of Famers. But he was a damn good quarterback for a certain period of time.

No Lance Alworth or Fred Biletnikoff in the top 10 ? Both were better than Largent.

This is typical of ESPN. Their history only goes back 10 years.

Largent has been retired for nearly 20 years, but don't let the facts get in the way there.

There are some shaky picks on this list. He is not one of them.

    Few thoughts:

Irvin at No. 4 makes this list completely irrelevant.

Fenian, I think Hutson deserves a lot of credit for catching 99 career TDs during a time when no one wanted to throw the ball.

This talk about how Moss shouldn't be held to a high standard during his years in Oakland because his QBs sucked is horseshit. If you're truly a star player, you'll shine regardless. Walter Payton played the bulk of his career, and his entire prime, with O-lines that were mediocre at best. Didn't stop him from becoming one of the greatest RBs of all-time.

If they discounted Alworth and Biletnkoff for early AFL days then its fair tos discount Moss for his poor Raider days.

He's not being discounted, genius, he's No. 2 of all-time, according to this list. He SHOULD be discounted for dogging it during his Oakland days.

Pall, I didn't see Brian Baschnagel or Tom Waddle on the list.

Better send them an email and let them know about the oversight.

That has to be the first Brian Baschnagel reference in SportsJournalists.com history. Bravo.

So I hear a lot of Irvin bashing at No. 4. Does that mean No. 4 is too high and he still makes the Top 10 or does that mean he's not Top 10 all together?
