    LOL...

I just about choked when I went to ESPN's site and they had a story on Marty on the front page... For a second, I thought he was No. 12, but it was a story about his coaching tree. Madden is No. 12.

I don't think Marty gets the respect he deserves for a guy who has 200 wins, but I didn't expect him to be in the top 20 either. He also loses points for being a complete pain in the ass, which is the biggest reason why he's been run off from so many jobs and why he didn't get a few others...

Not sure if someone has mentioned this or not, but according to the schedule posted on ESPN.com, the TV show about coaches 1 through 5 will air June 6 at 8:30 p.m. However, the No. 5 coach won't be released online (or the accompanying story, I guess) until June 7.

    Online schedule
    No. 5 -- Friday, June 7
    No. 4 -- Saturday, June 8
    No. 3 -- Sunday, June 9
    No. 2 -- Monday, June 10
    No. 1 -- Tuesday, June 11

    TV schedule
    Nos. 5-1: June 6, 8:30 p.m. ET, ESPN
    Lombardi's Legacy: June 6, 9 p.m., ESPN

    Weird

Looking how this is shaping up...no George Allen and No Marty Schottenheimer (sp) of the top of my head who are better than Dungy who likely won't be on the list.

Gillman...I am just going to assume when ESPN writes NFL that AFL is included in that...

So the top eight, in no order, is:
Shula, Walsh, Brown, Lombardi, Belichick, Noll, Halas, Landry.

Is there any way in hell there's an upset in the top 8? I can't imagine any of those not being there...

Can't believe Les Steckel isn't on there.

If you put together a top 20 of people at ESPN (all-time) how many on the list are still be there?
Van Pelt, College GameDay (group) and...

No, that's your eight. You cannot take one name off of that list.

Yeah, that's got to be the final 8.

But since it's ESPN they'll probably do something stupid and leave Brown or Halas off.

Weeb is off the list. He was better than Dungy and Shanny?

His regular season records weren't much, but three titles is impressive (to me at least)

Guys not in the top 20, who should be over Shanahan and Dungy:

    Schottenheimer
    Allen
    Vermeil
    Ewbank
    Coryell
    Flaherty
    Chamberlain

    Better than Dungy:
Cowher ( I think Shanahan edges him a little)
    Hank Stram
