Thought this could sort of deserve its own thread beyond the NBA Draft thread, now that the chaos is over.

Pretty pissed off that Ford is down on James Gist as the Spurs' second round pick (I'm a Terps homer) and really disappointed with what the Wizards did in the draft. A project big man is not what the Wizards need right now. I would have much rather Grunfeld drafted Kosta Koufos, Darrell Arthur, hell, even DeAndre Jordan from Texas A&M.

    Edit: oops, forgot about Dallas.

The average of all grades is supposed to be about 2.5 (C+ or B- ).

He's got 25 of 32 teams grading above the curve.

Wish he had been handing out grades when I was in school.

The Mavs don't even rate an incomplete?

The best part is that he says in his story he's actually a college professor.
Would love to take that class.

These instant grades after the draft are as meaningless as the mock drafts before it.

Hell, then you'd love Mel Kiper's grade system.

Wonder why he has the Heat with Darnell Jackson...

Aren't we supposed to wait 5 years for these?

He missed that trade with the Cavs while checking to see whether Darrell Arthur had been traded again.

I know that trades skewed things, but Ford's final mock draft, done 15 minutes before the actual draft, had 22 of the 30 first-round picks wrong, including Nos. 3 and 4, and every one between 8 and 16. Why would anyone care about his post-draft grades? He has no more idea what he's talking about than Joe Fan sitting at home on a couch.

I think he should post his grades following the 2003 draft along with this, just so we can read that the Pistons got an A for picking up Darko.
