    Why?

Hell, play it in a muddy cow pasture like they did on Friday Night Lights! That would be super fun and about as likely as a major college football program scheduling a game at Boise State without considering the money involved. :D

You wouldn't want to watch one of those 3 teams I mentioned play a game at Boise?

    Competitive balance.

I would. A lot of people would, which is why a huge TV payday might be a possibility for making it happen, but Hoke, Saban and Kiffin aren't just going to say "Gee, that sounds like fun. Let's do it."

Every other pro sport requires an equal number of home and away games. College sports do not, except for conference games. If there's going to be a playoff to declare a true champion, teams should be playing the same number of games, and the same number of them home and away.

Why should Boise State have a lesser chance at a national title this year than Alabama, and a playoff berth in future years, because they don't play the same number of home games? Boise State has a balanced schedule of 6 home and 6 away. Alabama's is 8 home and 4 away.

Re: Jake: Sad statement. Not that you're saying it but that it's probably true.

Well, first, college football isn't professional sports league. So, as is normally the case, your argument is invalid.

Second, college basketball has a playoff and doesn't require an equal number of home and away games. Neither does college baseball or college hockey.

Third, what's so fucking special about Boise?

    From 2000-2009:

    1. Boise State: 112-17 (.868)
    2. Texas: 110-19 (.853)
    3. Oklahoma: 110-24 (.821)
    4. Ohio State: 102-25 (.803)
    5. Southern California: 88-26 (.772) (reflects victories lost in the 2004 and 2005 seasons)
    6. Florida: 100-30 (.769)
    7. TCU: 95-29 (.766)
    8. LSU: 99-31 (.762)
    9. Georgia: 98-31 (.760)
    10. Virginia Tech: 99-32 (.756)

You can add a 35-4 record the last 3 seasons.

And that means the "NCAA" needs to force schools to play them why exactly?

    Who's talking forcing?

I'm talking about a historical college football power doing something different and showing a sense of adventure.

You seem really fucking angry about the suggestion.
