Too conservative for my tastes but he has been a good congressmen for his Long Island district.

My favorite play is the pass into the post, upon which seven or eight hands immediately create a jump ball. Only happens about eight times a game, though, down from 15 the first few years of the league.

I'm far from a lefty on social issues but very looking forward to this summer when I'll take my daughter to a Phoenix WNBA game. She's really excited as we live nowhere near a franchise.

It's important for her to have basketball role models. Even if they are layup challenged or their commentators won't ever criticize their play.

    Who'd a thunk it?

On ESPN Primo right now, the Mayo Clinic is kicking the crap out of Casino Arizona.

But I'm pretty sure WNBA on the Mothership is mostly limited to opening night, the ASG and the deciding games of the finals.

Just want to make sure that ragging on the WNBA isn't the same as believing we're not supposed to have a professional women's hoops league as the ultimate destination for girls who grow up loving basketball.

We can believe whatever we want, but the fact is there are a lot fewer pro basketball playing jobs available for women, and for all but a few superstars, they're dramatically lower-paying.

I know of a player who was arguably a star for all four years at a P5 school, set a bunch of school records, led her team far into the NCAAs a couple years.

Didn't get drafted, but got some free agent camp invites and some serious interest overseas. But she had been admitted to med school, so she didn't spend 15 seconds thinking about scraping around for a couple years at WNBA minimum wage.

I did not know the Tulsa Shock moved to Dallas.

I can't believe I cared enough to look it up.

I'd rather watch Florida play Auburn in a soft ball game than watch aWNBA
