    I may have this wrong, but I was under the impression that he had a permit to own the gun, but not to be carrying it as a concealed weapon. I don't think the 1-year jail sentence is automatic in that case from what I have heard regarding this case, but perhaps somebody who knows more about it can shed some light there.

    Do the Giants put him on the non-football injured reserve and then cut him loose in the offseason as some have already suggested? Exactly how much crap should they put up with from the guy?
