    Auburn should be ashamed.

The fact that 30 percent of college athletes on some teams are labeled learning disabled is a disgrace. Does anyone here realize that in the public school system teachers are told to be very careful when starting a child study (this is the beginning of the special education process) on a black student that they need to have extra justification in their own mind that the child is disabled?

Some people site special education classes in public schools with overly large minority enrollment as racist. And now the college coaches are using it as a crutch to keep students eligible?

And amazingly Auburn might of been doing this and still not providing the proper services to a student that needed them.

    Pathetic.

What this player should have done was research the special education standards of the schools recruiting him. These differ between schools. Many schools will honor a student's IEP (individualized education plan) from high school so they can continue to have success in college. Some though, will not. The fact that this student listened to a football coach about the special education procedures at Auburn was a big mistake.

And just because he has a problem placing thoughts into words does not make him unfit for college. His IQ is 130. That means he is not retarded, in fact, he is pretty darn smart. Retarded is below 70 on your IQ.

Intelligence is measured in many ways, and I'm guessing if his IQ is 130 then he is wicked smart and math and problem solving, and he also reads at a very high level.

Without question he is college material, and I hope he destroys Auburn every time he plays them.
