Video already taken down from YouTube due to ESPN "copyright issues"

If they weren't already there, the WWL is getting more like Big Brother every day.

Why? I can't watch most any TV show on Youtube. Stuff that is copyrighted is copyrighted.

I generally agree with this, but how aggressive is ESPN in policing YouTube for copyright issues when the video doesn't make ESPN look bad?

Roger Dunaway, the SID of Tulane, said this on Twitter a little while ago, in response to Bonnie Bernstein's blog praising Rowe: "That wasn't a reporter. That was a media rep from the Sugar Bowl trying to do her job with no ill-will towards Holly. In other words, she wasn't necessarily trying to get in Holly's way. It was the classic post-game scrum."

Ah, the classic post-game scrum. How I miss them!
Hey, rightsholder means what it says. The holder paid spot cash for rights you ain't got.

Per NCAA football championship rules at least, there are no on-field interviews allowed for 10 minutes after the clock hits 0:00. The only exception is the TV rights holder broadcasting the game, then the radio broadcast crew(s).

Does not matter one iota if game ends at 1 p.m. or 1 a.m. There's a 10-minute mandatory cooling off period, then it's off to the post-game press conference.

This wasn't a championship game, but it's just another reason why we need a playoff. Decide the postgame interview queue on the field!

So if the reporter had shoved back and refused to budge, that would be OK, too?

It's been noted that the other person was not a reporter but a Sugar Bowl media relations rep. If that person were to throw down with an ESPN reporter, I'm thinking that would not be OK with her employers.
