    I've renamed this thread so it can be all-inclusive for ESPN's hiring/raiding of newspapers to hire beat writers for all 32 NFL teams, so we don't end up with 32 threads on so-and-so leaving for ESPN.

    Rob King talked to Poynter about the hiring spree.

    Takeaways:

    * 19 new hires
    * Decisions/offers out to all but three.
    * Coverage won't go behind a paywall

    So five teams are covered by local sites and one will be covered by a person who already was on staff for ESPN Boston. Maybe we should then assume that the conference bloggers are taking their home teams. Five plus one plus 19 is 25, so those eight would bring the total up to 33, but Dan Graziani lives in ESPN New York territory.

    Interested to see who jumps in the Tampa and Miami markets.

    James Walker will be the one in Miami since he is the AFC East blogger already and I think Pat Yasinkas, who covers the NFC South, is still in Tampa

    Not a bad time to send clips to various newspapers considering the vacancies.

    Hasn't Pat Yasinskas been in Charlotte for a long time?

    I know he used to cover the Panthers for the Observer.

    I'm curious about Jax too, with a far smaller pool of candidates than other markets.
