Heather sent clips to us at The Ann Arbor News just out of school. We ended up going with a more experienced writer who has won APSEs for us, but our SE at the time, Jim Knight, shared her clips with the staff and remarked, "This young woman is going to work wherever she wants some day."

    Nice prediction, huh?

Always came off as a quality person while covering the Big Ten.

Dinnich is the type of writer who the "Kool-aid" homer type fans hate, because she's not a homer writer. She's criticize a team when warranted. She can be a little crass in her delivery, but she's a good writer who isn't going to toe that team's party line. ESPN got a good one.
