Schilling got exactly what he wanted. He is now a hero to the right wing nut jobs.

FS1 is desperate for people to watch. Fox News could use a younger big name -- how old is O'Reilly? People will watch that train wreck.

I wouldn't be surprised if a deal is done already. They'll wait a while to announce it, to let this blow over.

Why would they want him? Even if you agree with his worldview... it's not like he's good at this. I disagree with Bill O'Reilly on pretty much everything, but he's very good at what he does. (That's also the biggest key to Rush Limbaugh's success. He gets how to do radio on level very few people do. It's a much bigger factor in his success than his politics.)

Curt Schilling is just an angry dumb guy. He'd be damn near unwatchable if he tried to do this for a living.

Isn't this about four years too late?

Curt read his contract and saw the only way he could keep his bonus was to get fired.

Dumb older guys? There's gotta be a market for a show with Gossage and Schilling, very-low rent PTI.

Schilling is like Palin. They're both so bad to watch that you can't turn away, at least initially. He's not good, but he knows how to be an attention whore.

And he is pretty dumb. He blew through $50 million on his video game company, and somehow still made himself out to be a victim in the whole thing.

He's one of those guys who should never have to buy a drink again in Boston because of his accomplishments. Instead, he's managed to piss away all that good will.

Statistically speaking, Curt Schilling's daughter is much more likely to be shot than attacked in a bathroom by a transgender person. Perhaps he should go on a Facebook campaign against guns.

And let's not forget Jim Bowden has a job in baseball media (for both ESPN and MLB Network Radio) despite resigning as Nats GM after he was accused of skimming players' bonuses.

There's a reason why Curt was a divisive figure in clubhouses at the same time he was an indispensable star pitcher. He can not shut up. Ever. Nor can he ever just mind his own business. Anybody who hires him is getting that combination. In a way it'd be like hiring Olbermann. The firing is just a matter of time.

Why would anyone hire him? He's about as insightful as Reggie Miller. You'd think a guy who lost a boatload of money in that video game venture would be more conscientious about maintaining his income stream. I'm a big Sox fan, but fuck Curt Schilling. On the other hand, Curt Schilling HOF? (I say yes.)
