DJ Gallo's "wacky" mock draft can be found at this link...

    http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=gallo/070427&sportCat=nfl

They've edited it by now, but this was the original pick 24....

    24. New England Patriots: Reggie Nelson, S, Florida
Bill Belichick likes Nelson because the word is he has a hot mom, whereas Tom Brady wants him on the Patriots because he heard Nelson has an extensive babysitting background. He also fills a need for New England in the secondary, but those first two reasons supersede anything football related.

HILARIOUS stuff - except for the part about Nelson's mother having died of breast cancer two weeks before the national title game. Scoop even wrote a column about the death for Page 2. Guess the editors really don't read Scoop's stuff, because this was bad.

I like tonight's note from the Chicago-Miami game:

Miami wasn't sweating being down 2-0 to the Bulls. How about 3-0? Chicago put the defending champs on the brink of elimination Friday, beating the Heat ? ? ?-?? behind Ben Gordon's 27 points

    Now that's a questionable score.

Pretty good-reading mock draft ... and they've removed the questionable part.

Ummm, supersede is correct............supercede is not correct.

As Casey Stengel said, you could look it up........

  11. This clown.
    The Sklar Brothers?
That tale-of-the-tape guy and his wife?
ESPN should leave the funny where it is, I think.

You've obviously never seen "A Boy Named Charlie Brown."

Only one word in the language ends in S-E-D-E. Supersede! Three others end in C-E-E-D. Proceed, succeed, exceed...I before E, except after C!
