How is the Oklahoma game not Boise State's choice?

I'd think it has to do with the broadcast rights. As far as I can tell, pretty much every game on the list was an ESPN/ABC broadcast.

I remember watching Edge and the Canes stun UCLA, leaving K-State a chance to make the title game before going to cover a college basketball tournament. All K-State had to do was beat Texas A&M. When the UCLA game went final, they flashed the score at the Big XII title game, where K-State already led 14-0. And that's why Wildcats fans complain to this day about how "that distracted them."

Whatever, win the game, stop making excuses and and shut up already. I would love to see that game's replay. Watched the finish at the scorer's table of the D-II game I covered, where they had a small black and white TV. Needless to say, there were a lot of fans crowded behind that spot, watching the game, too.

I was a part-timer at the KC Star while in college in 1998. A small crowd gathered by one of the TVs before A&M tied it. When the Aggies did tie it up, I started laughing. I couldn't help it. This one lady standing next to me asks, "What's so funny?"

I shook my head and said, "This."

When the collapse was complete, I walked to my desk and buried my head in my arms trying to control my laughter.
