Colt McCoy wishes this happened in time for him to win the Heisman.

Imagine what they would have gotten if they'd had a winning season this year. :D

Not the greatest deal or not the greatest copy editing? "As the agreement was negotiated by IMG College, the Longhorns’ multimedia rights holder, UT will actually realize annual compensation of roughly $12.5 a year from the ESPN deal after IMG takes their cut."

How are they going to fill the programing with only Texas stuff? The Big Ten Network isn't turning heads with their countdown shows and features on MSU engineering. Not to knock the Big Ten... I love watching men's college basketball every weeknight, having Friday night pre-game shows, Big Ten weather reports on gameday mornings and triple-headers on Saturdays... but there are a lot of reruns, and a lot of basic programing. How will Texas fill the slots?

Also, what teams are next to have their own network? Notre Dame, USC, Alabama? If there were no BTN, I would say OSU... they have such a huge athletic department.

Texas will use some of the dough to create men's and women's hockey teams, thus creating extra programming.

Doesn't matter how they fill programming. Just matters that they get $.05 or $.10 or however much they can get per subscriber per month throughout the Republic of Texas. They will make money hand over fist without even selling an ad.

BYU already has one, but they don't receive any revenue from it. BYU sports will be part of the LDS Church's missionary efforts.

Will Texas' network be filled with other Big XII sports?

Only if they are playing Texas... this was basically the way the Big 12 sold their soul to stay alive by keeping Texas from bolting to the Pac 10-12

If we bitched about all the errors we read or hear on ESPN, none of us would have time to do anything else.
