This disappoints me, because I loved the excerpt. Is the book still worth reading? Or is it too much, oh did this happen? now

Most of the errors are inconsequential to overall narrative of the book, which was very entertaining and pretty well-written. Some are more consequential. A lot could have been caught with more self-editing by the author, who had never written as a profession before. If you have half a brain you already question internally the certitude of recalling exact conversations and minutiae in a "memoir." As someone who liked the book a lot, I'm disappointed to find out about the mistakes, but it doesn't take too much away from the final product.
