You know the difference between a Russian optimist and a Russian pessimist?

A Russian pessimist says, "The government controls everything. We have no freedom. The weather sucks, we can't afford food or even vodka. Things couldn't possibly be any worse!"

A Russian optimist says, "Oh, yes they could!"
