Enterprise/Recruiting Reporter -- The Tennessean

Job opportunity at Gannett | USA TODAY NETWORK - News - Nashville Sports Reporter

The Tennessean is searching for a sports reporter to write enterprise and cover recruiting.


The selected candidate will join an award-winning, statewide network which won 22 national Associated Press Sports Editors honors in the past year. The hire will primarily write enterprise stories across all sports of interest to the Nashville and state market, and also produce multimedia content. Coverage of recruiting will also be expected.


He/she will work in one of the fastest-growing cities in the country, which is home to NFL and NHL teams as well as an SEC school. The chosen candidate will have a role in backing up these beats on an as-needed basis.

The Tennessean is the state’s largest newsroom and Tennessean.com has the most visitors, page views and engagement in the state.

At least two years of experience in sports reporting is required.

* Valid Drivers License required for this position.

* Must be willing and able to pass a basic background check and drug screening.
