So I finally broke down and got a new phone. Opted for the new HTC Evo 4G ... didn't want to deal with shitty AT&T service just to have an iPhone.

I'm beginning to download some of the basic apps. Any cool/useful ones I should check out? (preferably of the free variety)

Any other helpful tips/shortcuts to use on an anroid phone?

    Much obliged for your help.

In the next week or two I'm likely to get a Droid X from work. I just saw the demo of Layar.

Holy shit. I don't know that I'd ever actually use it, but just the fact that it exists blows my mind.

Man, I like that pun. I thought this was going to be lazy spelling, like scrip club.

I love it, and will use it more when I travel more with my job. It's great for finding Twitter users around you, plus any food/drink you could want. Pretty much anything. It's amazing.
